hecho a mano

Hand-poured candles, made by the women of Las Adelitas.

In the mountains of Yancey County, Latina women gather to heal and create through craft. Take a little of that work home, or lend a hand, and help it grow.

The women who make them.

A place to heal, and to create.

Las Adelitas began as a few Latina women in Yancey County who wanted a place of their own. A place to work with their hands, lean on one another, and make something beautiful. What started at a kitchen table is now a growing studio.

Every candle is poured by hand. Every bar of soap is cut and cured in small batches. The work is calm, careful, and it is theirs.

Made by hand, by women who hold each other up.

Small batches, made by hand.

Each piece is made in the studio and sent out with care. Orders are placed by email, and every one goes straight to the women who made it.

Hand-poured soy candles

Our signature

Clean-burning soy wax, poured by hand in small batches and scented simply. Made to fill a room with warmth, never to overpower it.

Small-batch soap bars

For everyday

Gentle, hand-cut bars cured slowly the old way. Kind to skin and made to last, with simple ingredients and quiet, natural scents.

House-made tajin

From the kitchen

A bright, small-batch chili-lime seasoning, mixed by hand. Made for fresh fruit, street corn, a michelada rim, or anything that needs a little spark.
